Scatola del Tempo, the prestigious Italian company, makers of the rotating watch holder, has wished to award the director Gabriele Muccino,

a protagonist of Italian cinematography, currently gaining increasing amounts of praise in the United States, both popular and critical. The public is in fact showing more and more appreciation for Muccino’s trademark cinematic style, which gives his movies that special nuance and depth, typical and unique of the heritage of our great cinema and the Italian sensibility. Thus, after the success of The Pursuit of Happyness, our talented director is working on his second American feature, Seven Pounds, also starring Will Smith, and poised to become another great success. Muccino is also busy with a production on a project about Pavarotti and a movie with Alessandro Gassman, Four Fathers. Seven Pounds is filmed in Los Angeles and aside from Will Smith counts also Rosario Dawson, Woody Harrelson, besides Conor Cruise, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s adopted son in its cast. The movie is the story of a man who can’t live with the sense of guilt he feels following a road accident in which he inadvertedly kills some people. The author of this drama was inspired by the story of the NASA worker who felt responsible for the explosion of the Shuttle which killed seven astronauts.
